Spicy Margarita

 

Turn up the heat with this spicy margarita. Your taste buds will be satisfied and watering with this delicious classic twist.

Ingredients

Serves One

2 ounces of Tequila

1 ounce of lime juice

1 ounce of Cointreau

2 slices of jalapeño

Chipotle Adobe Seasoning

Salt

 

How To Mix

Rim your glass with salt by rubbing a lime slice around the top of the glass. Fill a plate with salt and gently place the top of the glass on the plate. Pour the tequila, lime juice and cointreau in a cocktail shaker. Shake for 30 secs and then strain over a glass with ice.

Jalapeño Infused Tequila: Take a cup of tequila and cut a few slices of lime in the tequila place in the fridge for up to 12 hours. Add more slices of jalapeño for extra heat. Strain out the jalapeños before serving.

Jalapeño Infused Simple Syrup: Boil one cup of water and then add one cup of sugar. Stir to dissolve. As the syrup is cooling, add a few slices of jalapeños. After the syrup is cool, place in fridge for up to 12 hours. Add more slices of jalapeño for extra heat. Strain before serving.

Pro Tips:

Chipotle Adobe Seasoning may be hard to find, especially during these times. The spicy rim isn’t essential, but can be an added way to turn up the heat. A salt rim is a classic garnish that you can’t go wrong with 😉

Each jalapeño will differ in their level of spiciness. Test out your syrup or infusion as their marinating to be sure they don’t get too spicy.
